Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

Congregate Meal Sites & Home Delivered Meals

Senior meal sites in Gilliam, Hood River, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Wasco and Wheeler counties have suspended their Congregate Meals.  Some sites are providing “to-go” or “drive thru” meals.

Areas that provide Home Delivered Meals may continue with precautionary measures in place.

Food Pantries & Meal Sites

Most food pantry and meal sites, as of right now, will continue to be open but are taking precautionary measures. 

Be aware that some pantry’s have changed their distribution process.  Some pantry’s are giving out preselected boxes of food.  Please be patient and expect to be asked to stay outside.  See pantry information HERE.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program
(Senior Commodities / CSFP)

Regular scheduled distributions will continue. Food box recipients are being asked to stay in their vehicle and a staff member will be checking ID’s from a distance; signatures will not be needed.  A staff member will be putting the food box and a preselected box of produce in the recipient’s vehicle.

Rural Produce Distributions

Regular scheduled distributions will continue. We are asking recipient’s to stay in their vehicle and a staff member will put a preselected box of produce in the vehicle.

Access to our Food Warehouse location is limited.
Commodity recipients - Call 541-276-5073 to place your order.
Orders will be delivered to your vehicle.

Congregate Meals

Various communities throughout Gilliam, Hood River, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Wasco, and Wheeler counties offer nutritious meals in a group setting for individuals age 60 and above, and their spouses (regardless of age). Frequently, the mealtime also includes recreational and social activities, as well as nutrition/health education.

Home Delivered Meals

This program is more than just a meal! It is often the highlight of an isolated and lonely senior's day. It also fosters independent living, a sense of security, and helps to prevent premature or unnecessary admittance into a care facility.

Supplemental Food Assistance

Supplemental food is available at various locations throughout Umatilla, Morrow, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties to individuals and families who are in immediate need of food.

Produce Distribution

Income eligible community members have the opportunity to access healthy and nutritious produce at no cost.
