COVID-19 Updates

Food Pantries

Most food pantries, as of right now, will continue to be open but are taking precautionary measures.

Be aware that some pantry’s have changed their distribution process.  Some pantry’s are giving out pre-selected boxes of food.  Please be patient and expect to be asked to stay outside.  See pantry information HERE.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program
(Senior Commodities / CSFP)

Regular scheduled distributions will continue. Food box recipients are being asked to stay in their vehicle and a staff member will be checking ID’s from a distance; signatures will not be needed.  A staff member will be putting the food box and a pre-selected box of produce in the recipient’s vehicle.

Rural Produce Distributions

Regular scheduled distributions will continue. We are asking recipient’s to stay in their vehicle and a staff member will put a pre-selected box of produce in the vehicle.

Find a Produce Distribution site near you.

Congregate Meals

Various communities throughout Gilliam, Hood River, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Wasco, and Wheeler counties offer nutritious meals in a group setting for individuals age 60 and above, and their spouses (regardless of age). Frequently, the mealtime also includes recreational and social activities, as well as nutrition/health education.

Home Delivered Meals

This program is more than just a meal! It is often the highlight of an isolated and lonely senior's day. It also fosters independent living, a sense of security, and helps to prevent premature or unnecessary admittance into a care facility.
