Please join us for a Public Meeting, in person or online with the Web link above, starting at 11 am, Thursday, March 20, 2025. The meeting will take place at CAPECO's Main Office location in Pendleton, Oregon, located at 211 SE Byers Avenue. Along with reviewing the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) 2025 - 2029 AREA PLAN, we will partner with members of the community to hear and discuss questions and input on the new plan.
As important members of the local communities in seven Oregon counties we currently serve, CAPECO highly values YOU and your perspective, questions, input and suggestions. You are welcome to join us in the spirit of collaboration, as we move forward with the steadfast goal of improving and providing life-enhancing, Senior-focused community services in our neighborhoods.

Senior Services
The Area Agency on Aging Department (AAA) provides services to older adults throughout Gilliam, Hood River, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Wasco and Wheeler counties. The goal of the AAA is to assist older adults and people with disabilities to remain at home as long as possible. This is accomplished through a variety of programs:
Caregiver Services: Respite Care, Information, Referral, and Assistance (see below), Supplemental Services, supports for Relatives as Primary Providers (grandparents raising grandchildren)
Oregon Project Independence: limited in-home assistance to help people safely remain living at home
Additional Services: No Wrong Door (Options Counseling), Elder Abuse Awareness, Case Management, Reassurance phone calls, Wellness Education, Public Outreach & Education (see below)
