Charitable Contributions

Community Action Program of East Central Oregon (CAPECO) is a private, non-profit organization and can accept contributions from our friends in the community.  There are a number of ways that you can donate to CAPECO.

Gifts of Cash

The most common method of giving to CAPECO is by sending a check payable to CAPECO.  Your gift may be directed to a specific CAPECO program or you may leave your gift unrestricted which will allow CAPECO to use your gift where it is needed most.  All cash gifts are tax deductible

Gift by Will

A simple way to distribute your estate is through a will.  You can make a charitable bequest to CAPECO of a specified dollar amount, specific property, or a percentage of your estate.

Gift in Trust or Annuities

A trust or annuity can provide tax advantages and regular income for you depending upon the structure and terms of the agreement. Please seek advice from your accountant, investment advisor, or attorney.

Gift of Life Insurance

A gift of life insurance provides an opportunity to make a contribution to CAPECO that you might otherwise be unable to make.  A paid up life insurance policy that is no longer needed by your family can be given to CAPECO.

Gift of Real Estate

You can make a gift of a house or other real property and this gift may allow you to realize a tax deduction.  All gifts of property, real or otherwise, must be accepted by the CAPECO Board of Directors in order to protect CAPECO form liabilities.
